Manufacturer Provided Description

A serious fisherman's dream, the Regulator 23' is a highly functional sportfishing boat offering all the essential design elements of a larger craft in a compact package. Fishing amenities include abundant storage, a 50-gallon bait well, and extra-large fish boxes.

Hull design, ride and range

Following the immense success of Regulator's Lou Codega designed 26 Center Console in 1987, the next addition to the lineage was the 23. Also designed by Codgea, the 23 followed similar lines; a sharp entry forward, slightly reduced beam, the same aft deadrise of the 26' of 24 degrees and of course, that famous Carolina Flair. With a hefty displacement to aid her deep-v hull, she'll run over chop or head seas with ease. A slight reverse to her chines, the 23 is unbelievably dry and stable even drifting in a beam sea; an atypical attribute of deep-v hulls.

Overall, the modern advent of 4 stroke technology (and lack of engine noise thereof) allows one to hear how quiet and undramatic this super strong "grid-box" stringer system and hull is underway; there's none of the typical flex or hollow pounding sound from waves heard on inferior built boats.
